The Government will ask the Parliament to enshrine the responsibility of stewardship in the Public Service Act. In line with this commitment, and as part of the Government’s regulatory reform agenda, the Department of Finance will develop a framework to implement a stewardship approach to managing Australian Government regulatory systems.
This will be developed in consultation with APS and the community.
Senator Katy Gallagher, the Minister for Finance and the Minister for the Public Service, delivered an address on the Australian Government's Public Sector Reform agenda.
It was presented during the 2022 IPAA National Conference: Minister for the Public Service outlined the Government’s ambitious and enduring APS Reform plan.
